Call of Duty 4 is a special something; whenever I watch TV I remember the days of martyrdom on the fields of Infinity Ward’s finest shooter; mostly because its burnt into my TV so badly I always have the same amount of ammo; but up until now its also been an Activision prostitute.

Activision requires that a Call of Duty be released every year as far as we know, and this behaviour had lead to the inbetween Call of Duty games being developed by others, and never being as good. Call of Duty 4 was Infinity Ward, but Call of Duty 3 was not.

Now the rumour mill is saying that Activision and Infinity Ward have renegotiated their contract for Infinity Ward to become the sole developer! Read more at Joystiq or Next Gen.
